The domino concept was inspired by the journey students undertake to get to and through school. It’s also a call to action for the future. Approaching this campaign this way opened the door to a lot of interesting imagery and subtle meaning. The poster can be interpreted in several different ways. It can be read as “Be the One” or “Be the Domino Effect.” Both messages are applicable and yet can have different meanings for different people. The type for the word “effect” was meticulously setup using 450 dominoes and then photographed. A minimal colour scheme was choosing for several reasons. It matched the school colours and the dominoes. The red accent colour also highlights a passionate emotion in addition to highlighting how we stand out as designers.
