Planeterra supports sustainable social and environmental solutions in desirable travel destinations across the world. A non-profit organization that works in conjuction with G-Adventures, a travel company, Planeterra empowers local people to develop their communities, conserve their environment and provide support solutions to local issues. Planeterra is funded by travelers, organizations and people across the world to make real sustainable difference’s in highly desirable locations all over the world.
Each stakeholder had to identify with the overall message in order to effectively communicate the effectiveness of each interaction on social impact. The concept of “Connection” was used in a variety of ways to best convey the needs of all the stakeholders. “Connect Yourself” will allow all the stakeholders to connect under an online “hub.” The hub will serve as a timeline so that an audience could easily view the effects of social change by viewing content posted throughout the life of each project. This content will be in the form of stories, video, and pictures from any stakeholder who wants to contribute. A webpage was developed that allowed a user to quickly access or upload content, as well as view early content and compare it with the latest. Colour and font were based on the existing Planeterra brand as Connect Yourself was meant to exist as a campaign and not a standalone brand.
